oscommerce WYSIWYGStand-aloneHTMLTextEditor
[739]

"This is a completely Stand-alone version of Dave Herbert's excellent WYSIWYG Admin editor. Not strictly an OS add-on but I found it useful for editing other parts of the site e.g. the front page, Product Page Headings etc. Clearly, this is only the case if you do not already own a real WYSIWYG editor!

No set-up - no integration with OS. Just unpack as is to yout PC, anywhere you like, and launch with edit.html. The only change might be if you want to use a different character set in the Meta in edit.html. (Currently western). I have tried it with Japanese and it works fine.

The editor creates HTML from simple text or if you really want, you can drop in formated text (e.g. a table) from another source e.g. word. However, please note that not all HTML will work with OS as OS is of course php and uses style sheets etc. It also depends where you try to put the HTML.
Also note that if you drop in text from Microsoft Word - you will get the usual 'never use one line of code when 100 will do' that microsoft creates.

The editor is based on htmlArea v1.05 - Copyright (c) 2002 interactivetools.com, inc. and only works with MS EXplorer (as far as I know)."
