"See forum thread: http://forums.oscommerce.com/index.php?showtopic=59484 - post discussion and bugs there.

The Quick Translation Facility will automatically fill in the product description and the database of many languages by translating the description during adding/editing a product. This difference from other solutions which translate the whole page before presenting it to the user. Quick Trans is not meant to be an 'end all' solution, but to allow admins to add products before the entire translation of descriptions is finished. This is also useful when the admin does not speak all languages or when the translate admin is on vacation.

Quick Translate works by collecting the description in the source language along with the destination languages, sending the request to a translation engine, then updating the return results. It is the responsibility of the caller to place the data back into the correct spot. Thus, this facility is mobile.

Right now, Quick Trans supports the Gummi Translation Engine. The framework is extensible and will easily allow anybody to add Babelfish or Google as desired."
