| "This contribution allows osCommerce store owners to provide real-time UPS, USPS,& Fedex package tracking to their customers. Store owners just enter the tracking number into text box on the orders page inside admin. This should be done when updating the order status to "Shipped". The customer will receive an email as usual telling them the order has been updated. The subject of emails will contain the order number and status while the text will include a personalized greeting. I've added functionality that will not include the comments text unless comments are added. Included in the email is a link which takes them to their account page on your website as well as the individual tracking number(s) with their appropriate shipper indicated (ie. UPS, Fedex, and/or USPS). I've added functionality which will allow you to have multiple shippers (ie. tracking number) for each order in any combination. On the order details page, the customer will find a clickable link to track their package. The link will open in a new window, so the customer never leaves your website." |
